The Emmericher Ward nature reserve is located in the area of the town of Emmerich am Rhein in the Kleve district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends southwest of the core town of Emmerich am Rhein directly on the western border with the Netherlands and directly on the southern Rhine . The B 8 runs north and the B 220 to the east .
meaning
A 308.64 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Emmerich am Rhein under the identification number KLE-012 since 1981 . The area has been placed under protection in order to preserve the natural habitats as well as the wild animals and plants.
