Emmi Niemelä (born July 22, 1989 ) is a Finnish floorball player . She is under contract with the National League A representative Unihockey Bernese Oberland .

Career

society

Niemelä began her career at Oulun Luistinseura from the Finnish city of Oulu. In 2013 she moved from Oulu to Paltaniemi to work with Salibandyseura Papas. There she played two seasons and was used in 31 games. In these 31 games she collected 42 scorer points.

2015 followed a call to Switzerland to train United, a club from the National League A . In her first season abroad, she completed 27 games and scored 32 scorer points. After only one year, Niemelä left Switzerland for Finland. There she moved to the Salibandyseura Rankat Ankat Salibandyliiga club, where her sister also played at the time.

In 2017 she moved again to Switzerland for the newly promoted floorball Bernese Oberland. On April 29, 2018, Floorball Berner Oberland confirmed the contract extension with Niemelä.

National team

Niemelä made his debut on the Euro Floorball Tour for the Finnish national team in 2013. In the same year she took part with Finland in the World Cup in the Czech Republic, where she won the silver medal with Finland.
