En'yu
En'yū ( Japanese 円 融 天皇 , En'yū-tennō ; * April 12, 959 - March 1, 991 ) was the 64th Tennō of Japan (August 13, 969 to August 27, 984).
He was the fifth son of Murakami tennō. His proper name was Morihira . He replaced his brother and predecessor at the age of 11.
Political power lay with the regents ( Sesshō or Kampaku ) from the Fujiwara family . These were in chronological order Fujiwara no Saneyori (900-970), Fujiwara no Koretada (924-972), Fujiwara no Kanemichi (925-977) and Fujiwara no Yoritada (924-989).
Reizei was the father of the later Kazan -tennō, born on October 26, 968, and of the later Sanjō -tennō, born on February 5, 976 .
He gave up the throne prematurely, initially in favor of his brother. The Ichijō -tennō was his only son.
