Enas de Cannuja

The necropolis of the Domus de Janas of Enas de Cannuja is located in Besudde, west of the SS131 road from Thiesi to Ittiri in the province of Sassari in Sardinia .

The prenuragic necropolis of Enas de Cannuja is a remote group of five or six rock tombs in the tufa wall of a valley. The Domus de Janas are in poor condition, but still have small traces of red paint on the walls.

Known as the Tomb of the Carved Pillars, the tomb consists of the antechamber and the rectangular chamber. This has two pillars carved out of the rock in the middle, which are decorated with a series of V-elements in a herringbone pattern . The ceiling forms a gable roof with the roof beam, which rests on the pillars. The door is decorated with a row of double bull horns. On the wall opposite the entrance is the outline of a false door .

Nearby is Protonuraghe Front'e Mola .
