In the former factory of the Dürener Metallwerke , which has been a listed building since 2005 , the EndArt culture factory has been based for over 30 years . Various event formats take place here every Friday and Saturday. This includes concerts, Abipartys, company and company parties at regular intervals. In addition, the 70s80s90s party (age structure 20-50) held on the 1st Saturday of each month is one of the crowd pullers in the Düren district . The Kulturfabrik also organizes poetry slams with well-known poets and local participants on a regular basis.
The culture factory has been continuously modernized over the past few years without losing the charm of the old walls. The factory now consists of four well-equipped levels (annex / café / main hall / beer garden). The association subsidizes non-alcoholic drinks as part of the events. So z. B. Water and juices only 50 cents.
The Endart is one of the most established concert locations for regional and national bands in the district. In the past few years, the Fantastischen Vier were among the factory's most famous musical guests. Every four years, the non-profit association organizes a highly regarded music award for local bands.
Endart-Kulturfabrik is sponsored by the Endart eV / Dürener association for the promotion of drug and youth work. This maintains facilities for assisted living in the urban area.
history
Endart eV was founded in 1983 on the initiative of the employees of the Düren drug advice service. The former factory building in Düren, Veldener Str. 59, was rented. In 1992 the building was bought with the support of Aktion Sorgekind . The factory also includes a residential building and a shop.
The cultural association works closely with the Social Pedagogical Center (Drobs) in a network. Endart eV maintains various residential projects in which young people with an addiction background are looked after by social workers employed by the association. In addition, Endart offers a wide range of leisure projects. These include soccer and badminton groups, regular fitness courses, canoeing, SUP and surfing activities.
