Ƙƙ

Ƙ (lower case ƙ) is a letter of the Latin writing system that occurs in African extensions of the Latin alphabet . It consists of a K with a hook. While the hook for the lower case letter is always attached to the long left line, the hook for the capital letter Ƙ can also come from the top right tip, depending on the font.

The letter is included in the Africa alphabet and the Pannigerian alphabet , but is only used in Hausa for an ejective K (IPA: ). The letter used to represent the voiceless velar implosive in the international phonetic alphabet , but the letter was abolished in 1993.
