Finally German! is a German mockumentary - television series , which in October 2014 WDR television aired. Directed led Lutz Heine King . The series deals with the topic of integration and was nominated for the Grimme Prize in 2015 .
action
The focus is on six migrants from different countries who are taking a naturalization course. They will be accompanied by the 1-Live presenter Andreas Bursche . The 4-part mockumentary is constantly developing through provocative actions on the part of the extremely weird characters and their clichés.
background
The film production company eitelsonnenschein was founded in the former Richard Edel candy factory. The bosses are the founder's two grandchildren, Lutz Heineking and Hans Peter Heineking. Since then, countless advertising and short films have been produced there. After the short films The Applicants and Donation Addiction , the idea for the mockumentary Endlich Deutsch was born! In cooperation with the authors Sebastian Züger and Klaus Frings as well as the producer Marco Gilles, a first season was realized after a teaser. Instead of a script, a so-called rotary primer was used, which gave the actors the opportunity to improvise freely and bring in their own ideas. The integration teacher (played by Beatriz Gottschalk, who actually does this job), Andreas Bursche from 1 Live and Wolfgang Bosbach (both as herself) contribute to the authenticity.
The acting brothers Jasin and Samy Challah have already played together in the short film The Applicants , also produced by eitelsonnenschein .
All six main actors have a migration background, which gives their roles authenticity. Natalia Bobyleva , Jasin and Samy Challah live and work as actors in Cologne, Mirijam Verena Jeremic , Selam Tadese and Halima Ilter are actors from Berlin.
