Endre Székely

Endre Székely [ ˈɛndrɛ ˈseːkɛj ] (born April 6, 1912 in Budapest ; † April 14, 1989 there ) was a Hungarian composer.

Székely studied at the Budapest Music Academy under Albert Siklós . He then worked as a conductor of workers 'choirs, in 1948 he became a conductor at the city theater and choir conductor at the radio and in 1960 a music teacher at the Budapest Teachers' College.

He composed an opera and an operetta , a symphony , two orchestral and one string suite, a piano and a horn concerto, a rhapsody for violin and chamber orchestra, chamber music works, cantatas , choral works and songs .
