The Energy and Environment Agency Lower Austria ( eNu ) is the energy and environment agency of the Province of Lower Austria .
Founded in 2011, eNu is a public company wholly owned by the land. She reports to the LH deputy - State Councilor for Environment, Agriculture & Energy Stephan Pernkopf .
Tasks and activities
The main task of the eNu is to provide information and advice to Lower Austrian citizens, companies, administrations and municipalities on all issues relating to the topics of energy, climate, the environment and nature conservation. The focus of the work is the development, processing and dissemination of information and knowledge in connection with natural resources, conscious consumption and a sustainable way of life as well as the support of regional actors.
Furthermore, the eNu supports politics and administration in the development and implementation of projects. The aim of the activities is to achieve the formulated energy and environmental goals. In addition, the eNu is networked with partner organizations from all federal states across Austria and a member of the network of regional energy and environmental agencies ( FEDARENE ) at European level .
The eNu is the Lower Austrian implementation agency for Austria-wide activities such as klimaaktiv and the e5 program .
