Energy agency

An energy agency is an agency that offers services in the energy industry. Most energy agencies are public or semi-public companies that act on behalf of a ministry of energy or another energy authority and to which certain tasks have been delegated.

  • Advice to companies, municipalities and end consumers on questions of energy supply and efficiency
  • Distribution of grants
  • Coordination of research activities in the field of energy management, technology and policy
  • Preparation of studies, recommendations and decision papers for policy
