The Engiltschek River is fed by the Engiltschek Glacier . It flows in a west-southwest direction through a high mountain valley and after about 50 km meets the Saryjas flowing south. The Engiltschek settlement of the same name is located on the left bank of the river at the mouth . There the trunk road A364 crosses the river. The Engiltschek is the most water-rich tributary of the Saryjas. The catchment area of the Engiltschek has an area of 1730 km² and includes the Tengritoo mountain range as well as the slopes of the Sarydschas chain in the north and those of the Kokschaaltoo and the Engiltschek chain in the south.
