English Open (Squash)

The English Open were a 2003-2007 instead held annually Squash tournament for men in Sheffield in the UK .

For the first three years, the tournament was a Category 4 Star with prize money of $ 40,000. In 2006 and 2007 it rose by one rating category and was held as a 5 Star with prize money of 50,000 US dollars. There were five different winners in the five years it was held. Only Nick Matthew reached the final twice, but lost both times.
