Enis Murati (2017)

Enis Murati (born August 2, 1988 in Pristina ) is an Austrian basketball player of Kosovar descent. He is 1.94 meters tall and plays on the wing position. Murati is under contract with the Basket Swans Gmunden .

Player career

Murati, who came to Austria in 2006, celebrated his first short appearances for Basket Swans Gmunden in the Austrian Bundesliga during the 2006/07 season and contributed to winning the championship title. In the following years he developed into the team's top performer. In 2010 and 2011 Murati was recognized by the internet portal eurobasket.com as the Bundesliga player who had the best development within a season. In 2010 he won the championship title again with Gmunden.

Murati spent the 2015/16 season with the Belgian first division club Leuven Bears . He returned to Gmunden for the 2016/17 season.

National team

In 2014 Murati was part of the Austrian national team for the first time, after receiving Austrian citizenship the previous year.

Murati completed a biology degree at the University of Salzburg .
