Brandur Helgason Enni (born April 15, 1989 in Tvøroyri , Faroe Islands ) is a Faroese pop singer .

biography

Enni already belonged to a band at the age of nine. In 2002, at the age of 14, he released his first solo album, Waiting in the Moonlight , which became a bestseller album in his home country. The debut song of the same name was written by Lena Anderssen and Niclas Johannessen.

After a Faroe Islands and Iceland tour and television appearances, his second solo album, Brandur , was released in 2003 ; a Danish tour followed. At a football match between Faroe Islands and Germany in Tórshavn on June 11, 2003, he sang both national anthems. In 2006 he moved to Sweden to study "Musikmakarna" for two years at the Music Academy. He signed contracts with the music companies "Lionheart", which operates worldwide, and "Air Chrysalis of Scandinavia". He sings in English as well as in Faroese .

In Sweden he has already worked with a number of local artists, such as Lasse Andersson (he wrote lyrics for Joe Cocker ), with songwriters who wrote for Celine Dion and Gavin DeGraw , for Westlife ( Carl Falk ), and also with Barak Levi. His band also includes three of his fellow students at the Musikmakarna . At Melodifestivalen 2008, the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 , he took part with the title Lullaby by Henrik Winkström (music) and Kristian Lagerstrøm (text), but did not win.
