Enno Rudolph

Enno Rudolph (born November 14, 1945 in Oldenburg ) is a German philosopher and university professor .

Rudolph had been full professor of philosophy and head of the cultural studies institute at the University of Lucerne since 2000 . After studying philosophy and evangelical theology in Münster and Heidelberg , Rudolph received his doctorate in 1974 with a dissertation on Kant and habilitated in 1983 with a work on Aristotle . From 1990 he was an adjunct professor for the philosophy of religion at the University of Heidelberg. In 2011 Rudolph retired.

His main research interests are the philosophy of culture ( Cassirer research), the history of the ancient world , the philosophy of the Renaissance and the philosophy of the 20th century.
