Enrico Bronzi

Enrico Bronzi (* 1973 in Parma ) is an Italian cellist .

Life

Enrico Bronzi was born in Parma in 1973. Since 1990 he has been a member of the Trio di Parma, an ensemble that has performed in numerous concert halls in Europe, South America, Australia and the USA, including Carnegie Hall in New York , Queen Elisabeth Hall and Wigmore Hall in London , the Cologne Theater and the Colosseum in Buenos Aires . Together with the ensemble he took part in international competitions in Florence , Melbourne and Munich and won, among other things, the Premio Abbiati Critics' Prize .
Since 2001 he has been increasingly active as a soloist, which led him to a prize at the Rostropovich Competition in Paris and in 2002 first prize at the Paulo Cello Competition in Helsinki , one of the most important competitions for cello. In addition, he received the special prize for the best interpretation of the Dvořák Concerto.

Together with the Trio di Parma , he won first prize at the international chamber music competition in Lyon in April 2004 .

Since October 2007 he has been teaching violoncello as a university professor at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, and in November 2008 he was appointed director of the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro .
