Premio Abbiati
The Premio della critica musicale “Franco Abbiati” is an Italian music prize that has been awarded annually in various categories by the Associazione Nazionale Critici Musicali since 1980/81 . It was named after the long-time music critic of the daily Corriere della Sera Franco Abbiati (1898–1981). The award ceremonies take place in cooperation with the municipality of Bergamo in the province of the same name ( Lombardy region ) in the Teatro Donizetti and other locations. The Abbiati Prize has been supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture since 2007 and has been under the patronage of the President of the Italian Republic since 2008 .
