Enrico Del Debbio (born May 26, 1881 in Carrara , † July 12, 1973 in Rome ) was an Italian architect and university professor .

Del Debbio developed his main activity during the period of Benito Mussolini's dictatorship , as the designer of the Foro Mussolini and the neighboring Palazzo del Littorio, the fascist party headquarters, which is now used as the foreign ministry under the name Palazzo della Farnesina . Occasionally he showed himself to be influenced by the trend of Razionalismo , but his main works from this period are typical architectural architecture.

Del Debbio was from 1922 to 1962 lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture in Rome and 1952-68 member of the Commission for Urban Studies and the Urban Building Commission in Rome. After 1945, his buildings were more based on the example of Scandinavian modernism. His curriculum vitae, like that of Marcello Piacentini , can be seen as an example of flexibility, pragmatic versatility and cross-system continuity in the Italian architecture of the 20th century.
