Enrico Papi (born June 3, 1965 in Rome ) is an Italian television presenter .

Career

Papi studied law , but did not graduate. He worked early as a cabaret artist and opened concerts by Ivan Graziani and Fiorella Mannoia . TV presenter Giancarlo Magalli discovered him and got him on the show Fantastico except for Rai 1 . At the beginning of the 90s, Papi had smaller roles in several Rai programs, until he received his own gossip show as a presenter with the Chiacchiere segment . After criticizing the show, she was removed from the Rai, whereupon Papi switched to private television at Mediaset in 1996 .

On Canale 5 he started the gossip program Papi quotidiani ; Several participations in other programs followed (for example with Gerry Scotti and Alba Parietti ) and a short detour to Italia 1 . From 1997 he presented the program Sarabanda , which became a great success after a reorientation as a music quiz. With increasing ratings, Papi had more appearances in a large number of Mediaset programs, such as Maurizio Costanzo . In 2001 he appeared again for the first time on Rai 1, when he presented the aftershow of the 2001 Sanremo Festival with Raffaella Carrà and accompanied the festival as a backstage reporter. More gossip shows, TV shows and quiz shows followed. In 2006 he presented the reality show La pupa e il secchione on Italia 1 , and from 2007 to 2009 together with Victoria Silvstedt La ruota della fortuna (Italian version of the wheel of fortune ).

In 2016 Papi was in the running as a dancer in Ballando con le stelle (Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing ) on Rai 1. In the same year he had a guest appearance in the music video for the number one hit Tutto Molto Interesting by Fabio Rovazzi . With the satirical song Mooseca (like the Rovazzi song co -written by Danti ), based on a self-launched popular meme , Papi spoke up as a singer in 2017.
