Enrico Pea

Enrico Pea (born October 29, 1881 in Seravezza , Lucca , † August 11, 1958 in Forte dei Marmi ) was an Italian writer.

Life

Pea emigrated to Alexandria (Egypt) at the age of 15. In 1914 he returned to Italy and settled in Viareggio . There he worked as a director and theater director.

Pea's work is characterized by surprising changes in perspective and a preference for dialect expressions. In 1938 he received the Premio Viareggio , one of the most prestigious Italian literary prizes, for his novel La maremmana .
