Enrico Steger

Enrico Steger , also Heinrich Steger , (born May 20, 1959 in Sand in Taufers ) is an Italian dental technician and owner of the Italian dental technology company Zirkonzahn in Gais, South Tyrol.

Life

After five years of professional training as a dental technician in Bolzano ( South Tyrol ) and various positions as a dental technician in several laboratories, he founded his own dental technology laboratory in 1981. In cooperation with industrial companies, he develops dental technology products such as waxes, drills and ceramics and carries out color studies and shape analyzes.

His invention of the manual milling machine, the " Zirkograph ", made work easier in the manufacture of dentures. The device is based on the functioning of the pantograph . In 2003 the construction of a prototype began. In order to ensure the accuracy of fit of the crowns and bridges, a complete system was developed, consisting of specially manufactured zirconium, the milling device and a sintering furnace .

Steger developed the Prettau Bridge , a complete complete dental restoration made from zirconia.

In 2003 he founded the Zirkonzahn company in Gais (South Tyrol) .

In November 2017 he was one of the 50 richest South Tyroleans with a fortune of € 60 million.

Patents

Enrico Steger files a total of twelve patents internationally, in Europe, Canada, Brazil, Japan, Korea and the USA. In addition, Enrico Steger owns several utility models in Germany and Austria, three of which are registered in these countries. The patent applications relate to the mechanical copy milling device of the zircograph, to the removal of the dust produced during milling, and to the clamping and swiveling mechanism of his invention.
