Enrique René Michel Santibáñez

Enrique René Michel Santibáñez (born January 25, 1947 in Oaxaca de Juárez ) is a former Mexican ambassador .

Life

Enrique René Michel Santibáñez studied law at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México . He then completed postgraduate studies in administrative and constitutional law. He later earned a degree in Marketing from the Instituto de Mercadotecnia y Publicidad, SC. He also took postgraduate courses at Harvard University .

From 1967 to 1968 Santibáñez was personal secretary of the diplomatic advisor of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz and then until 1969 personal secretary of the attorney general of Mexico City .

His other positions include that of advisor to the General Director of the Instituto Nacional de la Juventud Mexicana (1971–1973) and that of assessor at the Mexico City city council sent from the Miguel Hidalgo district (1977–1978).

In 1980 he joined the foreign service. In the Consulate General of New York City he served as first class consul; he headed the consulate in Boston, first with the rank of first class consul and later as consul general . He headed the Consulate General in Brownsville and was Deputy Ambassador to Washington, DC from January 1993 to 1995
