Enter Tragedy is a dark rock and dark metal band from Guben .

history

Enter Tragedy was founded in 2011 by Tommy Fischer, Antje Tommack, Maik Nicklaus, Sebastion Giemsch, Sebastian Schmidt and Robert Dylong. After just a year, the group varied its line-up. In September 2012 the EP Wrong Side of Life was the first self-published publication. In 2014, Sound of the Fallen was also self-published a first album. Both early releases received little response. At the end of October 2015, the second album Anthropocene - Fragments of Life was released via Danse Macabre . The album received both positive and negative reviews from the music press. While the lyrics were mostly praised, the criticism was particularly directed towards the music.

style

Enter Tragedy are assigned to Dark Rock and Dark Metal in reviews . Influences from other musical styles such as metal and Neue Deutsche Harte are sometimes mentioned.

The texts deal with "pessimistic topics" in English and German. The music arranges "[a] atmospheric keyboards, catchy partly punk rhythms and harsh guitar riffs " around a clear singing style that can be compared with the style presented by artists such as Zeraphine and Last Instance . This would alternate with guttural growling .
