The Enterprise-Class is a five-unit class of drilling vessels from Transocean . The ships sail under the flag of the Marshall Islands .

technology

The ships are 255 meters long, 38 meters wide and have a draft of 13 meters. They are designed for water depths of up to 3,657 meters and have a drilling capacity of up to a depth of 12,191 meters.

The ships are equipped with four electro-hydraulic cranes, each of which can lift up to 100 tons. The outreach of the cranes is 7.8 to 45 meters.

The drive is diesel-electric via six electrically driven azimuth propeller nacelles from Rolls-Royce. Electricity generation take over six Vierzehnzylinder- diesel engines of the type MAN B & W 14V32 / 40, each with 7,000  kW power , the six LDW - Siemens - generators drive type S5E 1250-10SE + WK, each with 6,456 kW of power. A MAN B&W 7L27 / 38 diesel engine with an output of 2,310 kW, which drives a Hyundai generator with an output of 2,100 kW, acts as the emergency power generator.

The ships have a dynamic positioning (DP) system .

Up to 200 people can be accommodated on board.
