The Eparchy Bhadravathi ( Latin Eparchia Bhadravathensis ) is an eparchy of the Syro-Malabar Church with its seat in Bhadravathi in India, united with the Roman Catholic Church . It includes the districts of Chikmagalur and Shimoga in the Indian state of Karnataka .

history

Pope Benedict XVI founded the eparch on August 29, 2007 from cession of territory of the eparch Mananthavady and subordinated it to the Archparchy Tellicherry as a suffragan diocese . The local ordinary Joseph Erumachadath has been MCBS since its inception .
