The Eparchy Mananthavady ( Latin Eparchia Manantoddiensis ) is an eparchy of the Syro-Malabar Church with its seat in Mananthavady in India, united with the Roman Catholic Church .

history

Pope Paul VI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quanta Gloria on March 1, 1973 from cession of territory of the Tellicherry eparchy , it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly as a suffragan diocese.

On December 4, 1975 it received part of the territory of the Tellicherry eparchy and on May 18, 1995 it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Tellicherry archepark.

She lost part of the territory on August 29, 1997 to the Bhadravathi eparchy and on January 15, 2010 another part to the Mandya eparchy .
