Jacob Thoomkuzhy
Jacob Thoomkuzhy (born December 13, 1930 in Vilakumadam ) is Old Archbishop of Trichur .
Life
Jacob Thoomkuzhy was ordained a priest on December 22, 1956 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on March 1, 1973 Bishop of Mananthavady . The Archbishop of Ernakulam , Cardinal Joseph Parecattil , ordained him bishop on May 1 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Sebastian Vayalil , Bishop of Palai , and Sebastian Valloppilly , Bishop of Tellicherry .
On May 18, 1995, he was appointed Bishop of Thamarasserry . John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Trichur on November 11, 1996 . On January 22, 2007, Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
