The Eparchy of Annunciation of Lord Ibadan is a diocese of the Maronite Church based in Ibadan , Nigeria .

history

Pope Francis established the diocese on January 13, 2014 as the Apostolic Exarchate for the Maronite believers in West and Central Africa . He appointed the previous President of the Lebanese Caritas , Simon Faddoul , as the first exarch .

On February 28, 2018, Pope Francis elevated the exarchate to the rank of an eparchy and appointed the previous exarch Simon Faddoul as the first diocesan bishop .
