Ephraim Evron

Ephraim Evron ( Hebrew אפרים עברון, * June 12, 1920 in Haifa ; † July 17, 1995 in Ramat Gan ) was an Israeli diplomat .

Evron began working for the Israel Foreign Ministry in 1949 . During his diplomatic career, he held various positions. Among other things, he was second secretary at the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC in 1953 , from 1961 to 1965 first counselor and then envoy at the Israeli embassy in London , and from 1965 to 1968 envoy at the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC during his time on at the Israeli embassy in London, Evron developed a close friendship with Harold Wilson .

From 1968 to 1969 Evron served as the Israeli ambassador to Sweden . He was then the Israeli ambassador to Canada from 1969 to 1971. Evron worked for the next few years in the Israeli Foreign Ministry before he finally became ambassador again and represented Israel from 1978 to 1982 in the United States .

Evron was married with two children, a son and a daughter.
