Description of the epitaph

The colored aggregate Renaissance - Epitaph for Johann Faulhaber († 1609) is located on the south wall of the nave. The resurrection of Christ is depicted in the blown gable, the end of which is a skull . Below it says: dead where is your sting, bright where is your victory?

In the central area Johann Faulhaber is depicted praying, framed by Ionic pilasters . On these there are four coats of arms of the Faulhaber family and the places that are related to this gender. The deceased is depicted in girls' clothes, an indication that he died in childhood. The Latin text of the inscription plaque below, which is adorned by three angel heads, reads: “IOHANNES ADAMUS FAULHABER VON WAECHTERSBACH TU PATRIAM REPETIS. Johann Adam Faulhaber († 1609), was a son of Johann Ludwig Faulhaber "zu Orb und Wächtersbach " and Catharina von Erthal and Hetzels, who came from the von Thüngen family on his mother's side . He died in childhood from dog or wolf bites. Presumably he was the last member of a family branch.
