Life

Ostlund was born in Vancouver in the spring of 1992, where he grew up and attended St. George's School from grades 2 to 12, which he finally successfully completed in his senior year. Kurt Ostlund, who was interested in film, theater and comedy, already took part in his school's theater program at school, which led to his becoming part of the school's theater company The Saints' Players . The theater group, which has around five main stage productions every year, was only visited by Ostlund as an observer and guest audience in the first few years; It was not until the 10th grade that the pupil entered the productions as a permanent actor. He was supported above all by his acting teacher, the winner of a Gemini Award , Robert Wisden , who also paved his way into the film and television business. The following year after joining the theater company, he took part in the prestigious NYU table summer high school acting program in Paris , where he gained additional acting experience. The student, who was also active and successful in some school sports teams, decided in the 11th grade for his actual passion, acting. From then on he had theater rehearsals six days a week; the following year, his senior year, he also took part in all three main stage productions of the company.

He finally made the leap into the film and television business in the spring of 2010, when he was booked for a guest appearance in an episode of the series Troop - Die Monsterjäger . The episode was only released in 2011; Before that, he got a bigger offer when he was also brought into the cast of the Canadian television series Mr. Young in 2010, where he took over the role of Jordan "Slab" Slabinski and played it in 68 different episodes as of November 2013. In addition to the successes with Mr. Young , other engagements followed for Ostlund, for example in four episodes of Level Up in 2012, where he played the bully Big Joe , similar to his role in Mr. Young . He also had his first role in a feature film in 2012, when he again played a bully in the Disney Channel original movie Monster Against Girls . At the moment (as of November 2013) another film with Kurt Ostlund is in production; the horror film Grace is expected to be released in 2014.
