Mr. Young is a Canadian youth - sitcom , which for the first time on March 1, 2011 at the station YTV aired. The idea for the series came from Dan Signer , who is also the creator of the Disney Channel series ANT: Attention nature talents . The series is about Adam Young, who graduated from college at the age of 14. To keep in touch with friends of his own age, he decides to return to high school, this time as a teacher.

The last episode, entitled Mr. Finale , aired on November 28, 2013.

action

Adam Young graduated from university at the age of 14, after which he returned to school but became a science teacher. Since he is no older than his students, one of whom is even a childhood friend, he is hardly perceived as a person of authority.

characters

Leading roles

Adam Young ( Brendan Meyer ) is 14 years old and a science teacher at Finnegan High School. He is friends with Derby and Echo. He has fallen in love with Echo and tries many things to get her attention, with no closer relationship developing between the two. His mother is Rachel Young and he has a sister, Ivy. Nothing is known about his father.

Echo Zizzleswift ( Matreya Fedor ) is an ambitious student of Finnegan High School. She attends science class with Adam Young. She cares a lot about other people. She is considerate, careful, environmentally conscious, and she likes science fiction. Adam is in love with her, but she is rather distant. Her last name was subsequently revealed to Mr. College .

Derby ( Gig Morton ) is a student at Finnegan High School. He fell in love with Ivy, but she found him repulsive. He hosts a radio show called "Drive Time with Derby". He is Adam's best friend and his student at the same time. He's not particularly interested in his teaching, but tries every opportunity to profit from Adam's inventions.

Jordan 'Slab' Slabinski ( Kurt Ostlund ) is a tall and strong student and, due to his stupidity, got stuck several times. He sabotages Adam's lessons at every opportunity, but often helps him privately. He likes to put nerds in garbage cans and doesn't even have any respect for the principal. He's only afraid of milk.

Ivy Young ( Emily Tennant ) is Adam's older sister. She is often rude to teachers herself. She likes shopping and bossing everyone around. Ivy is portrayed as a stereotypical blonde who is attractive and aware of it and who takes advantage of her male classmates at every opportunity except Hutch, who mostly ignores her or points out her crazy behavior. Together with Echo, she is a reporter for the school newspaper.

Supporting roles

Principal Tater ( Milo Shandel ) is the headmaster of Finnegan High School, who oversees Adam's classes particularly often. He is portrayed as being quite clumsy. He is scared of cinnamon because of a childhood experience.

Dang ( Raugi Yu ) is the school's caretaker. He usually appears out of nowhere when his presence is desired. He can do a lot on his own, such as playing beach volleyball. He considers himself invincible through his martial arts skills, but just like Slab, he has to admit defeat to the sheer robot power of Arthur.

Ms. Byrne ( Paula Shaw ) is an older, clueless history teacher who runs the school newspaper and science club. Her main theme is the war of 1812. Adam and Ivy were able to convince her in Mr. Summer Vacation that she was their grandmother and is going on vacation with them, as well as Derby, that she won a cruise.

Rachel Young ( Anna Galvin ) is Ivy's and Adam's mother. She delivers meals to seniors and can be very helpful. She went to school with Headmaster Tater, where she was suspected of smearing glue on his costume, causing him to go bald. It was later revealed that the jealous Mrs. Slabinsky was responsible.

Hutch Anderson ( Brett Dier ) is a high school student and Ivy's friend, although their relationship is inconsistent and has breaks. He is a lifeguard and tried to save Adam when he was disguised as a mummy. He played Romeo in Romeo and Juliet , but Ivy sabotaged him so he wouldn't kiss Echo while doing it.

Arthur (Gordon Douglas Myren) is an Adam Young-made robot that looks and is presented as a student. Its full name is Automatic roboting teenager hippocatimus umbrella rainbow. It serves its purpose by putting Slab in its place. Through his absolute obedience, he reveals his real origin to Rector Tater and then wants to kill him. He is stopped by Adam and disposed of in the garbage, but appears in a later episode with the robot family and completely frustrates Ivy, who was in love at the time.

Barbie (Chelan Simmons) is a robot woman made by Arthur. Her full name is Beautiful automatic robotic babe bicycle eggplant.

Bradley is the son of Barbie. Its name means baby roboting automatic droid lemon elephant yoyo. Adam takes care of him to impress Echo.

Lucy (Daliah Bela) is the daughter of Barbie. Its name is borrowed from the Peanuts series. Like her parents, she is equipped with hydraulic robotic arms and loves to play hide and seek and destroy, but saves Adam from being destroyed by Arthur because she likes him.

Tina Rae is a fake robot baby made from a lamp by Derby and Ivy to convince Arthur and Barbie that they are real robots. His name is "This is not a robot avocado earmuff". In order not to attract attention, it is renamed from Derby to Sheila. Echo also takes good care of Tina.
