Monster versus girl (original title Girl vs. Monster ) is an American Disney Channel Original Movie from 2012 . The main role of Skylar, a young girl who finds out on Halloween that she is a fifth generation monster hunter, is played by Olivia Holt .
action
The practically fearless Skylar prepares to attend a Halloween party with her best friends, Sadie and Henry. Skylar wants to meet her crush, the singer Ryan, there, but her parents forbid her to go to the party and leave her at home where Cobb should take care of her. She wants to sneak out and turns off the power to deactivate the alarm system. But she does not know that her parents have been monster hunters for generations and that this action enabled the monsters, which were held in the basement by technical devices, to free themselves. Among them is her personal monster, Deimata, that Skylar is now making all her fears feel that she has not had in her life.
Skylar goes to the party with Sadie and Henry. For this purpose they were equipped with weapons by Cobb, who also initiated them into the secrets of the monsters (hunters). Meanwhile, Deimata lures Skylar's parents into a trap and holds them captive. Skylar wants to sing with Ryan at the party, but their fears caused by their monster prevent that. Henry also has contact with his personal monster and freezes, so Sadie takes him back home to Cobb.
Deimatia takes possession of Ryan, so he discourages Skylar instead of her facing her fears. But she has to do this in order to be able to win over her monster. Finally she manages to overcome her fears together with her friends and sing on stage. Finally, there is a showdown between the friends and the monsters, in which Skyler finally manages to free her parents.
