China Anne McClain (born August 25, 1998 in Decatur , Georgia ) is an American actress and singer .

life and career

China Anne McClain was born in the city of Decatur , Georgia , in the late summer of 1998, the youngest daughter of Michael McClain, a record producer, singer, songwriter and recording engineer, and Shontell, a singer and songwriter. She also has two sisters, both of whom are also artistically active, Sierra Aylina, who is around four and five years older, and Lauryn Alisa, who is around a year older. Together, the three McClain girls, who call themselves the "3mcclaingirls", have already released a single, with their parents heavily involved in the production. She also got the lead role of Chyna Parks in the television series ANT: Attention Nature Talents , which premiered after the series finale of Zack and Cody on board in 2011. The series ended after 62 episodes in March 2014. McClain recorded several songs for the series: In addition to the title song Exceptional , she covered Dynamite by Taio Cruz and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera . In 2018 McClain takes on the lead role of Jennifer Pierce in the CW superhero series Black Lightning , which is based on the comic of the same name .
