Stuart Gillard

Stuart Gillard (born April 28, 1950 in Coronation , Alberta ) is a Canadian film director , screenwriter and actor .

Life

He made his film debut in 1971 with a role in The Reincarnate . Until the late 1980s he worked as an actor from time to time, including a small role in the 1978 film FIST - A man goes his way in appearance.

He gained his first experience in the film business as a writer at The Sonny and Cher Show in 1976/77. Subsequently he was involved as a screenwriter in various television productions. In 1982 he made his debut as a director with the film The Blue Paradise . As a director he works for both cinema and television. As a television director, he directed several episodes of series such as 90210 and One Tree Hill , for which he made several television films for ABC Family and the Disney Channel .

In 1990 he won a Gemini Award for his work on the television series Das Mädchen aus der Stadt . In 1995 he won the CableACE for an episode of the series Outer Limits he directed . Ten years later he was awarded the DGA Award for his film The Great Fight .
