The epitaph for Maria von Wildenstein († February 26, 1599) is in the choir of the Protestant parish church of St. Jakob in Oettingen in Bavaria , a town in the Donau-Ries district .

The colored aggregate Renaissance - Epitaph for Maria Salome of Wildenstein , born von Welwarth , bears the inscription:

"A (n) no D (omi) ni 1599 Auff Monday February 26th died blissfully the noble and honor virtuesam Fraw Maria Salome von Wildenstein Born from Welwartt des Edlen and Vosten Martin Wilhelm von Wildenstain zu Stainhartt Ehliche hausfraw the Seel Gott genad."

The deceased is shown almost life-size with folded hands. To the left is the Wildenstein coat of arms, underneath it stands "MW (illegible) W." for Martin Wilhelms von Wildenstain. On the right is the Welwartt's coat of arms, underneath it stands "MSVW" for Maria Salome von Welwartt (or Wildenstein). The two lower coats of arms are no longer recognizable. The 2.46 m high and 1.13 m wide sandstone slab is crowned by a tympanum with an inscription, flanked by vases.
