Kaus Australis ( Arabic قوس, DMG Qaus  'bow' and Latin australis, "south"), Bayer name Epsilon Sagittarii , is a double star with an apparent visual magnitude of 1.79 mag in the constellation Sagittarius , making it one of the 50 brightest stars in the night sky .
