Eqrem (Eqerem) Bej Libohova (born February 24, 1882 in Gjirokastra , Wilâjet Janina , Ottoman Empire (now Albania ), † 1948 in Rome , Italy ) was an Albanian politician who was Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Albania twice in 1943 .

Life

Eqerem Bej Libohova was a member of the Muslim feudal noble family Asllan Pashallinjtë . In 1931, when Aziz Çami and Ndok Gjeloshi tried to assassinate King Ahmet Zogu I of Albania in front of the Vienna State Opera in Austria , Libohova was a minister at the king's court. Eqrem Bej Libohova was wounded in this attack.

From January 9, 1936 to April 2, 1939, Eqrem Bej Libohova was the country's foreign minister . During the occupation of Albania by the Kingdom of Italy , he became Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Albania. In this capacity he served from January 19, 1943 to February 13, 1943 and again from May 12, 1943 to September 9, 1943. He was a member of the Albanian Fascist Party (AFP).
