Two people, two perceptions, two worlds of memory. Did Angela and Christian love each other? Were they tight together? What expectations did you have of each other? There are two conflicting answers to all questions. One thing is certain: The two met in Berlin in 1986. When Angela became pregnant and decided to have the child, contact broke off. Since then, they have never spoken about what happened back then. 25 years later, the daughter sets up a camera. She interviews Christian, she interviews Angela. Then she plays each other's recordings for them. And suddenly there is a dynamic between the two parents without actually meeting. The past is rolled up again in the mirror of the here and now. True feelings are mixed in between the perceived truths. ER SIE ICH is a film about the power to tell your own story and the powerlessness to prevent a second version of this story. A conversation that was never held.
