Erasmus of Yakimov

Erasmus von Jakimow , also Jakimov (born March 15, 1918 in Skopin near Moscow , Russia ; † November 17, 1944 near Apatin , Yugoslavia ) was a German painter and author.

Life

He was the son of the painter Annemarie von Jakimow-Kruse (1889–1977) and the Russian painter and sculptor Igor von Jakimow (1885–1962). Jakimow attended the Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Bad Homburg .

He died at the age of 26 as a soldier in World War II - as did his brother Igor. His estate is archived in the German Art Archive .
