William Patrick Muldoon III (born September 27, 1968 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor and singer.

Life

Muldoon was born in 1968 in Los Angeles, San Pedro . His father is Irish and his mother is of Croatian descent. After graduating from Loyola High School, he attended the University of Southern California , where he also played football for the USC Trojans . In 1989 he was photographed as a model for the Men of USC calendar, which earned him a modeling contract and shoots for Calvin Klein .

He later turned to acting and after roles in several television series followed in 1993 with Rage and Honor II, his first engagement for a feature film. From 1995 to 1996 followed a larger role in the television series Melrose Place .

He became known to a larger audience in 1997 in the role of Zander Barcalow in Paul Verhoeven's science fiction film Starship Troopers .

This was followed mainly by roles in smaller direct-to-video and mockbuster productions.

In addition to his work as an actor, Muldoon is also active as a musician and singer in the band The Sleeping Masses .
