The Erdmuthenschacht was a coal mine of the Potschappler Aktienverein . The shaft was located in the central part of the hard coal deposit of the Döhlen Basin on Potschappler Flur.
history
The shaft was in 1823 by Karl Friedrich Ehrenreich Schoenberg , owner of the manor Potschappel, geteuft . The shaft was named after the two grandmothers. The at 244 m above sea level. The shaft set up above sea level reached a depth of 78.50 meters. At about 70 meters, the first seam was cut and the sinking stopped.
In 1809 Johann Gustav Klette acquired the manor and the associated mine fields and shafts. In 1836 he sold the mine field to the Potschappler Aktienverein. On March 28, 1878 Moritz Ferdinand Schönberg bought the pit field from the Potschappler Aktienverein, which had been in liquidation since 1875 . In July 1879 he began to work on the shaft under the name of Beistand Gottes Schacht . In the years 1879 and 1880, 2,770 tons of coal were mined and then the work stopped.
On June 7, 1884, Karl August Wahl leased the mine field. On the same day, August Wahl ceded his rights to the Berlin entrepreneur Lothar Knappe and signed a contract with him for the sump and further depths of the shaft. Work started in December 1884. The second seam, which was cut at approx. 78.50 meters, was 0.30 meters thick . The Potschappler Stolln, which comes in at a depth of approx. 78 meters, served to drain the pit field. In 1885 a connection was made to the newly sunk Rosinaschacht belonging to the mine field . The aim of the work was the remaining coal pillars of the field dismantled by the Potschappler Aktienverein. In April 1886, work was stopped and the shaft filled.
In 1966, the shaft safety pillar in the 1st and 5th seam was driven through by the VEB hard coal works "Willi Agatz" and partially dismantled.
The shaft was kept safe in 1975 by Bergsicherung Dresden .
From 1980, the field in the area of the shaft was re- excavated by the mining company "Willi Agatz" of the SDAG Wismut and between 1986 and 1989 the remaining area was partially dismantled.
