The Erehwon Nunatak is a 1050  m high nunatak in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 26 km northwest of Henkle Peak 6 m high and 15 long from the ice masses surrounding it.

Scientists from a joint team from the United States Geological Survey and the British Antarctic Survey led by Peter Dewitt Rowley (* 1943) discovered it by chance during a snow storm . The rock of the nunatak is older than the previously determined rock on the Antarctic Peninsula . The name proposed by Rowley for the nunatak is an anagram of the word nowhere (English for nowhere ) and is based on the novel Erewhon by the British writer Samuel Butler from 1872. The background to this name is the fact that the team was unsure of its geographical position due to the adverse weather conditions.
