The Henkle Peak is a 1100  m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 15 miles north of Mount Rex .

The mountain is part of a group of nunatakers that the American polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth first sighted and photographed during an overflight on November 23, 1935. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the American topography engineer Charles R. Henkle of the USGS, the from 1967 to 1968 was involved in an exploration of the Marie-Byrd-Land .
