The hermit (Norwegian for hermit ) is a nunatak in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In the Sør Rondane Mountains, it rises 5 km south of the Balchenfjella mountain .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it in 1957 using aerial photographs taken during the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947).
