Balchenfjella is a 2820 m high mountain in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It rises up in the mountains of Sør Rondane on the eastern flank of the Byrdbreen . Its southern part is the Berrheia .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it in 1957 using aerial photographs taken during the US Operation Highjump (1946–1947). It is named after the Norwegian polar explorer and aviation pioneer Bernt Balchen (1899–1973), a pilot on the American Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1928–1930).
