Erhan Afyoncu

Erhan Afyoncu (* 1967 in Tokat ) is a Turkish historian .

Life

Erhan Afyoncu attended elementary and middle school in his hometown of Tokat. After graduating from high school, he began his studies at the Social Science Institute of Ataturk Eğitim Fakanschesi of the Marmara University . One year after completing his studies, he was hired as a research assistant at the university . In 1997 Afyoncu wrote his doctoral thesis with Yusuf Halaçoğlu , in 2000 he became an assistant professor, and in 2008 he became a lecturer . In the same year he moved to the Fen Edebiyat Fakanschesi (Art and Science Faculty) Department of History (Tarih Bölümü).

In 2007 he took part in the weekly television program Geçmiş zaman olur ki ( When the past lasts ) on Kanal 24. Until 2015 he designed a program called Tarihin arka odası ( The Back Room of History ) with Murat Bardakçı for Habertürk TV .
