Murat Bardakçı

Murat Gökhan Bardakçı (* 1955 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish journalist and television presenter . He has a degree in economics. He became known for his historical work, which focuses on Ottoman history and Turkish music history , and is also a columnist for the Habertürk newspaper . According to his own testimony about his family history in his television program The Back Room of History (Tarihin Arka Odası) on Habertürk TV , one half of his origin is from the Circassians and the other half from the Crimean Tatars . His grandfather Cemal Bardakçı was governor in Denizli , Elazığ , Çorum and Konya and fought in the Turkish Liberation War .
