Erhard Gröger (born August 15, 1947 in Spremberg ) is a former German soccer player in the storm . He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .

Career

Groeger played in his youth from 1959 to 1966 for his home club BSG Progress Spremberg. He then moved to BSG Progress Buchholz for a year before returning to Spremberg in 1968, where he stayed until 1973. In 1974 Gröger was obliged by BSG Energie Cottbus , for which he was used twelve times in the 1973/74 season and scored two goals. Gröger made his professional debut on January 26, 1974 when he was in the starting line-up against FC Karl-Marx-Stadt on matchday 14 . He scored his first goal on February 20, 1974 (18th matchday) against the BSG Sachsenring Zwickau . After relegation he scored 13 goals in 21 games in 1974/75 , making him the top scorer of season D and Cottbus directly succeeded in being promoted again. In 1975/76 , however, Gröger only got three hits in 23 games, which meant that Cottbus was relegated again. In the 1976/77 season he stood out with 15 hits in 20 missions, so that he was again the top scorer in season D. Nevertheless, Cottbus did not succeed in promotion to the league. In the next season, Gröger only scored two goals in 16 missions in the GDR league. 1978/79 he got ten goals in 22 games. After the season, Gröger switched to BSG Lok RAW Cottbus and stayed there until the end of his career in 1983.

Gröger already worked as a player trainer at BSG Lok RAW Cottbus during his time . He was then head coach until 1987. Then he coached the club's youth until 1990.
