Erhard Pumm
Erhard Pumm (born September 10, 1945 "in Czechoslovakia "; † August 4, 2011 in Hamburg ) was a German trade union official , politician of the SPD and member of the Hamburg parliament .
Life and work
Pumm had lived in Hamburg since 1948. He was a trained machinist and police officer. From 1964 to 1980 he was employed as a law enforcement officer . After that he was the managing director of the police union until 1988 .
Erhard Pumm worked as a union secretary. From 1988 to 2009 he was chairman of the DGB Hamburg. During this time Pumm was a member of the executive district committee of the DGB District North . Uwe Grund was elected as his successor in September 2009 .
He was a board member and sat in the council of the union state working group work and life .
In addition to partisan and trade union work, Pumm was a member of the administrative committee of the Landesarbeitsamt Nord , the board of trustees of the Foundation Research Center for Contemporary History and the shareholders' meeting of Zeitwerk GmbH.

Erhard Pumm had been a member of the SPD since September 1, 1970. From 1980 to 1991 he was a deputy of the Department of Home Affairs .
From June 19, 1991 to 2008 he was a member of the SPD in the Hamburg parliament. There he sat for his parliamentary group in the Social Committee, the Constitutional Committee, the Family, Children and Youth Committee, the Interior Committee, the Legal Committee, the Economic Committee and the Budget Committee.
Erhard Pumm did not run again for the 2008 state elections.
